The dictionary lists common sense as a Noun
good sense and sound judgment in practical matters.
“a common-sense approach”
Wikipedia says common sense is sound practical judgement concerning everyday matters, or a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge that is shared by (“common to”) nearly all people.
I feel “nearly all people” is a set of people who have a high level of understanding in the particular sector, subject, issue etc.
